Beautiful luxurious hotel with elegant yet rustic western decor. In a quiet location one block from the center of town. Beds extremely comfortable, rooms beautifully designed and appointed. Heated pool and hot tub one of the nicest I've experienced. I have only two criticisms that I hope management will take note. First, I went to the pool late at night and noticed used towels and food service items left behind. I went early the next morning to take photos and noticed it hadn't been picked up. Second, on two occasions I asked the front desk for advice for local hikes and they basically said they didn't know. It is OK to not know but they could at least point you in the right direction. I discovered on my own that there is an information center staffed by park personnel one block from the hotel. And that's all I would expect from the front desk or concierge to tell me. I did like that the desk staff looked local and outdoorsy, lending me confidence that they know the area.
The rooms were okay but nothing special. Some light stains on the sheets. The hotel was out of toothbrushes which I've never encountered before, especially not at a more expensive hotel and the staff wasn't able/interested to solve this (for example, going to one of the other Hilton hotels in town or a grocery store to get some).
The breakfast was quite good at the restaurant, but the included breakfast credit with status doesn't cover enough of it - still had around $5pp+tip to pay on top
Great location, walking distance to coffee shop, restaurants. But far enough removed for quiet escape. Updated clean rooms, large bathroom, heated hot tub and pool perfect for low season relaxation.
Great location 1 block from the main drag. Great pool. Great bar. Good restaurant.
Pricey. Pricey. Pricey.
No shuttle to the regional airport though.
If you rent a car, Enterprise is totally terrific and very accommodating.
There's also a free downtown bus shuttle.
We stayed here for one night while driving through to Colorado! Beautiful rooms and spa like bathrooms! The rooms was spacious and beautifully decorated. The heated pool and hot tub were probably one of the nicest we’ve stayed at for an unexpected stay and well kept pools and outdoor facilities. We also ate at the hotel’s restaurant, Josie Wyatt’s Grill. My husband had the braised short pork rib, was really good. Daughter had the salmon, not one piece left behind. I had the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection! No complaints and we would stay here again!
Waste of points/money. Stay at the Hampton Inn down the street. I am a diamond member and stay at Hiltons regularly. This is not luxury and was at best, okay. We stayed in the new villas where the pools/hot tub were not completed. No room service. 2 cockroaches. Internet TV that cut out constantly. Nothing luxurious. Staff was unhelpful and nonchalant. Never called me back after I called the restaurant to inquire about room service. Save your money - stay at the Hyatt Place for better service and better villas. We have stayed at both and will not be back at Hoodoo. Hyatt place is better service and better facilities.
I did not have a great experience here. Arrived late on Wed 10/25 after a long drive, and all I wanted was a relaxing bath before bed. When I asked the front desk person to confirm that my room had a bathtub, she said yes and that all their rooms come equipped with soaking tubs. Great! She even suggested some bath bombs from the little shop in the lobby.
I arrived in my room and there was only a standing shower. I called down to the front desk and was told only some rooms had soaking tubs. The person (different from the woman who checked me in, she had just gone home) said they could put me in a different room with a bathtub.
They ended up putting me in a room with a handicap shower/tub, not a soaking tub. At that point I was just frustrated, tired, and didn’t want to have to switch rooms again, so I decided to just go use the hot tub for a bit, which was nice enough. The thing that annoyed me was that I would have upgraded to a suite or different style of room if I needed to, but the communication from the front desk was all around lacking.
Other issues:
— My shower kept running cold, and never really got hot.
— The outlets by the bed didn’t work so my phone didn’t charge overnight.
— Logging into the internet didn’t work so I had to call the front desk for a promo code.
This just wasn’t a great experience. I would have stayed to talk to management about it but I had to get on the road again so could not take the time. I hope they get it together, because otherwise it is a lovely hotel aesthetically and the location is great.
We stayed in the new Casitas. They are built with high-end fixtures and are quite comfortable. However, there are some details that need to be looked after, and they were still under construction. …
